Gua Sha & Cupping The Origins of Natural Healing Remedies
What is Gua Sha
Gua sha is a traditional medical method in Eastern Asian countries. It is frequently used to alleviate muscular discomfort and stress. In Chinese, Gua means 'scrape,' and Sha means 'petechiae' or small, flat red, purple dots.
The goal of this therapy is to scrape the skin (usually on the back) to increase blood flow, remove heat toxins, promote lymphatic drainage, activate various locations of the body, and deliver beneficial cells to different regions by generating an immunological reaction. This activity can sometimes cause skin discoloration, which can be quite noticeable. However, there is no discomfort, and the marks normally disappear after a few days.
Gua sha attempts to circulate energy, also known as qi or chi, throughout the body. Basically, this therapy is rubbing the skin in lengthy strokes with a tool, delivering enough pressure to cause slight bruising.
What is Cupping
Cupping treatment is another old kind of alternative medicine in which a therapist applies suction to your skin using specific cups for a few minutes. People receive it for a variety of reasons, including pain relief, inflammation relief, increased blood flow, relaxation and well-being, and as a sort of deep-tissue massage.
This remedy is popular right now, although it is not new. Its origins may be traced back to ancient Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern societies. The Ebers Papyrus, one of the world's earliest medical textbooks, tells how the ancient Egyptians employed cupping treatment as early as 1,550 B.C.
Both of these methods were proven safe and effective that’s why it is still used up to now. But now, with the help of technology, these two therapy methods were combined in one machine - the Electric Cupping Therapy Machine.
The Electric Cupping Therapy Machine is a handheld device that can perform scraping and cupping. That’s how amazing today’s technology is! It can provide the best benefits from both therapy methods.
